Event airs on iHeart and Fox Soul
Mary J Blige is hosting an album release party with iHeartRadio for Good Morning Gorgeous, her 15th full length project, set to be released on Friday, February 11th via her own Mary Jane Productions. The special also premieres that night at 10 pm ET/7 pm PT on iHeartRadio stations and Fox Soul’s YouTube channel and TV apps.
The album showcases 13 new songs, including guest appearances from artists like DJ Khaled, H.E.R., Dave East, Usher, Anderson .Paak and Fivio Foreign. “Amazing” and “Good Morning Gorgeous” were both released last fall.
“Amazing” features DJ Khaled and was written by Blige alongside Denisia Andrews, Brittany Coney, DJ Khaled, Street Runner, Tarik Azzouz, Willie Cobbs, and Ellas McDaniels. The song was produced by DJ Khaled, STREETRUNNER and Tarik Azzouz. The song contains excerpts from Willie Cobbs’ “You Don’t Love Me” and samples from Dawn Penn’s recording of “You Don’t Love Me (No, No, No).”
“Good Morning Gorgeous” features H.E.R. on guitar and backing vocals. It was written by Blige alongside D’Mile, H.E.R., David “Lucky Daye” Brown, and Tiara Thomas. The song was produced by D’Mile for Medinah Entertainment, Inc. and H.E.R.
During the event, Blige will be interviewed by long-time friend and iHeartRadio’s renowned host Angie Martinez.
The album’s release comes two days before the rapper co-heads a historic performance at the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA alongside Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar.
