Album is expected this year

Megan Thee Stallion is teasing fans about her highly anticipated new album. The rapper teased the project on Monday (May 16th) at the 2022 Webby Awards where she was honored with the Webby Artist of the Year Award for her use of the Internet to blaze artistic trails and to advocate for black women to be confident, respected and protected.

“Anything I want to give away? Actually, probably like 95% done with my new album. I want to tease that for the hotties. I haven’t told them nothing about my album,” Meghan shares on the red carpet.

No word on when the album will be released which follows her critically acclaimed 2020 debut album, Good News.

Last month, the rapper was praised for having one of the best Coachella performances in which she teased her new single “Plan B” during weekend one of the two weekend event. The hype around the snippet, which samples Jodeci’s “Freek’n You (Remix)” with Wu-Tang Clan, quickly spread online as fans quickly clamored for the rapper to drop the full-length single.

The release of “Plan B” comes on the heels of a scorching stretch for Megan, who teamed up with Dua Lipa to unleash their powerful collaboration “Sweetest Pie” in March and is now Top 10 at pop radio. She delivered a dynamic performance of “Sweetest Pie” at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards, where she was also honored with the Trailblazer Award.

On Sunday (May 15th), Megan heated up the Billboard Music Awards stage with a memorable performance of “Plan B” and “Sweetest Pie” and received the award for Top Rap Female Artist for the second year in a row.

She’s currently headlining the first-ever virtual reality concert tour. She’s teamed up with AmazeVR for the Enter Thee Hottieverse that takes place in 10 cities across the United States between through July 2022.

This summer, Megan is on her 2022 Hot Girl Summer tour with headlining sets at the Hangout Festival, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Glastonbury and others.
