“If You Need Me Don’t” available now

Meghan Linsey unleashes her powerful, blues-driven single, “If You Need Me Don’t,” available everywhere. The track’s official video is also available.

Gibson Guitars sponsored Linsey’s single release event on Thursday, March 17th at their innovative new showroom in Nashville. During the release party, Gibson helped Linsey raise money for The Roots of Music non-profit organization in her hometown of New Orleans. A portion of the profits from her single will be donated to The Roots of Music, which helps underprivileged students have access to music education, academic support and mentorship.

With her soulful voice and unique ability to rattle the rafters with gritty vocals, Meghan Linsey knows no boundaries in the realm of music. Linsey captured the hearts of America along with the ear of Scott Borchetta, a judge on the CMT reality singing competition Can You Duet. She won the show and Borchetta, the head of Big Machine Records, immediately signed the country-soul duo Steel Magnolia to his label. Linsey also signed with EMI Publishing and went on to pen seven of the 12 songs on the duo’s debut album.
Success came quickly after the debut single “Keep on Lovin’ You” catapulted to the Top 5 on Billboard.

The pair toured with superstar acts including Brad Paisley, Bob Seger and Reba and appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live. They were nominated for multiple major awards, including CMA’s, ACM’s and a Teen Choice Award.

The whirlwind only subsided when the pair, unfortunately, parted ways in 2013. Linsey embarked on her solo career writing and releasing two EP’s before getting a call in 2015 from a producer for NBC’s Emmy award-winning show, The Voice. The next day she was on a plane to LA and the rest is history.

During her time on The Voice, Linsey landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian chart with her rendition of “Amazing Grace” and had multiple No. 1’s across all genres of the iTunes chart. She was crowned the season eight runner-up and was the first contestant in The Voice history to perform an original, self-penned song on the show’s finale. Since her success on The Voice, Linsey has toured throughout the US and abroad and collaborated with GRAMMY winners and hit artists including Chingy, Aloe Blacc, and Fred Schneider of the B-52’s.

Linsey finds inspiration from women with powerful voices and stories to tell such as Tanya, Dolly, Aretha and Whitney. These influences helped shape the powerhouse that is not only confident in her vocal prowess but who is also not afraid to use her platform to speak out against injustices. With passionate fervor, she faces challenges head-on and aims to share truth, inspire and love people.
