Eddie Trunk will premiere a song on October 30th

Former Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars is set to debut the first taste of his long-awaited solo album, Another Side of Marslater this month. SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk will bring the world premiere of Mars’ first-ever solo release during Trunk Nation on October 30th on Faction Talk 103, followed by an interview the next day.

“Pleased to announce that I will be bringing you the world premier of the first ever solo music from @mrmickmars on #trunknation ! I’ll debut the song 10/30, Mick will join me for an interview 10/31! @SIRIUSXM 103 Faction Talk @TrunkNationSXM. 3P ET,” Trunk shares on X, formerly Twitter.

The announcement came shortly after Mars shared a five-second teaser on X with “Counting Down 13 Days,” which likely means the song will be released widely on Halloween.

It’s still unclear when the album will be released. Over the summer, Mars shared the music with Rolling Stone author Andy Greene who described the music as “darker and more aggressive” than songs from the Crüe catalog.

“Killing Breed,” “Broken on the Inside,” “Alone,” “Lonely in Your Grave,” “Loyal to the Lie,” “Decay,” “Fear,” “Memories,” Erased” all appear to be on the project, although official details are forthcoming.

Mars confirms in the Rolling Stone interview that he will not tour in support of the project. The guitarist, who has suffered from AS since he was in his late teens, says the struggle is too painful to continue touring, but isn’t opposed to performing live again after announcing his retirement from the road last fall.
