The solemn, solo-written track – produced by Wade’s bandleader Clint Wells – is punctuated with plaintive wails from a steel guitar and aches with confessional lyricism. Laced with melancholy and unwelcome truths, “2 AM in London” makes clear that sometimes home is more than a map dot, and all we need.
The somber, sparse ballad signifies the beginning of Wade’s next chapter following the release of her sophomore effort, Psychopath, in 2023. Details on upcoming new releases will be announced soon.
