Chenle participated in song composition while fellow NCT member Marked helped write the lyrics for latest ‘NCT Lab’ release
NCT U releases their new single, “Marine Turtle.” Featuring members Kun, Xiaojun, Renjun, and Chenle, this marks the ninth song released under SM Entertainment’s NCT Lab project. “Marine Turtle” is available now on various music sites including iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and more.
Released in both Chinese and Korean, “Marine Turtle” is a pop genre song that combines a guiding synth sound with a heavy 808 bass, electric guitar, and emotional vocal harmony, with lyrics comparing the will to move forward in life to a marine turtle hatching out of its egg and heading out to the sea. In addition to being featured on the track, Chenle also participated in the song’s composition while fellow NCT member Mark helped write the lyrics, demonstrating the musical versatility of NCT members.
Next up, Renjun and Chenle will be returning to the US this holiday season with NCT Dream for iHeartRadio Jingle Ball shows in Boston on December 10th, Washington DC on December 11th, and Atlanta on December 14th.
