All star collaboration features Boyz II Men, Big Freedia, Jordin Sparks & Naughty By Nature

Multi-platinum group New Kids on the Block have released “House Party,” a feel-good anthem aiming to inspire and uplift people during these uncertain times. Joined by their friends Boyz II Men, Big Freedia, Jordin Sparks and Naughty By Nature, New Kids on the Block are bringing fans the quarantine anthem they need right now. All song net proceeds will go to benefit “No Kid Hungry” in their effort to aid in the COVID-19 pandemic relief.

Written and produced by Donnie Wahlberg and Deekay Music entirely over FaceTime and computer apps, the song aims to uplift and inspire listeners with Donnie notably opening the song with his words to live by: “In the worst of times, we can make the best of times.”

And listening to Donnie’s advice, watch NKOTB, Boyz II Men, Big Freedia, Jordin Sparks and Naughty By Nature making the best of quarantine in the accompanying music video. The power group even enlisted other high-profile friends to dance their way through the fun including Carrie Underwood, Mark Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Derek Hough and of course Kid ‘n Play… You can’t have a “House Party” without Kid ‘n Play.

“I was inspired. People need to be entertained, to feel light, to be happy,” shares Wahlberg shares of the song he wrote at home during the quarantine. “If we can do even the smallest thing to lift someone’s day we will do that. And in doing so, we will also donate all net proceeds to benefit No Kid Hungry. All we want to do is give back in the best way we know how.”

NKOTB are also auctioning a dream tour package to benefit No Kid Hungry which includes two tour stops and puts the winner on the tour bus for one night with the band! Winning bidder will also receive two amazing tickets to a future NKOTB tour, hotel accommodations, roundtrip air for two, a merch bundle plus access to the tour meet and greets with NKOTB. Bidding ends on Friday, May 8th at 9 pm ET via one.bidpal.net/nkotb. No Kid Hungry is an organization providing healthy meals to vulnerable children throughout the nation who are very much in need during these times.

Earlier this year NKOTB announced their 11th annual New Kids on the Block Cruise. The cruise, which sold out in minutes, was set to depart this weekend. Unable to set sail, the guys of NKOTB will take to social media on a “Virtual Cruise” giving fans all over the world special performances, theme night “parties,” cooking lessons, karaoke and more. The virtual cruise takes sail through Sunday, April 26th.

New Kids on the Block have sold more than 80 million albums worldwide — including back-to-back international No. 1 songs, 1988’s Hangin’ Tough and 1990’s Step By Step — and a series of crossover smash R&B, pop hits like “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” “Cover Girl,” “Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time),” “Hangin’ Tough,” “I’ll Be Loving You,” “Step By Step” and “Tonight.” The group which started with humble Boston beginnings grew to shatter concert box office records playing an estimated 200 concerts a year, in sold out stadiums throughout the world. Since reuniting in 2007, NKOTB have toured consistently to sold out arenas, have sold nearly four million tickets and have doubled their crowd sizes. The Boston natives have been bestowed with their very own, “New Kids on the Block Day,” an honor not many can claim, and have played Fenway twice before. The group solidified their place in Hollywood with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame since reuniting and will continue representing Boston on their journey long into the future.
