Project drops this fall

Night Ranger will release 40 Years and a Night with Contemporary Youth Orchestra, a new live album, on October 20th via Frontiers Music Srl. The project will be available on CD, 2 LP, DVD, Blu-ray and digital with limited edition vinyl offerings available.

This show was unlike any other Night Ranger show – not only did it raise funds for the Contemporary Youth Orchestra Education Fund, but the band decided to film the entire performance and bring it to the masses showing it all start to finish. These unique renditions of their greatest hits were for the first time ever – performed with an entire symphonic orchestra. The setlist combined the band’s classics, new songs and covers, and all of this together is what made this a truly once in a lifetime Night Ranger concert event

The Japanese version will include the Damn Yankees song “High Enough” as an exclusive bonus track. Guitarist Jack Blades was a member of that band in the early 90s along side Styx vocalist Tommy Shaw, guitarist Ted Nugent and then unknown drummer Michael Cartellone who would later join Lynyrd Skynyrd.

In celebration, the band has released the music video for “(You Can Still) Rock In America (Live).”

The Contemporary Youth Orchestra (CYO) is made up of 80+ musicians aged 12 to 18, representing more than 40 schools in Ohio. The students performed alongside Night Ranger throughout their entire set and these unique renditions of their greatest hits was also their first time ever performing with a symphonic orchestra live. This made for a truly once in a lifetime Night Ranger concert event, that the band is so excited to share with the world.
