Band donates video budget to Wags and Walks in Nashville

Rising Nashville-based alternative pop band Nightly has released their new single “Like I Do” from their upcoming sophomore album, Wear Your Heart Out, due out August 25th.

The track was written and produced entirely by Nightly, and quickly became a band favorite when making the album while continually demonstrating their deft ability to create compelling music with live shows in mind. In the case of “Like I Do,” this took shape by them writing the song by first plugging in instruments rather than starting with a track. Their synth-pop sound is complimented flawlessly by instrumentals that make an unforgettable sonic experience.

In lieu of a traditional music video the song, the Nashville-based trio – comprised of Jonny Capeci, Joey Beretta and Nick Sainato – decided to take their budget and donate it to Wags and Walks in Nashville. And instead, take three of the adoptable dogs – Sol, Sable and Harlow – who had been waiting the longest to be adopted, out for a “dream day” in Nashville. During the band’s YouTube after party for the video’s premiere, Capeci revealed to fans that he actually ended up adopting Harlow, who is now affectionately known as Harley.

On October 5th in Austin, TX, Nightly will kick off the 20+ date Wear Your Heart Out Tour through major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and New York City before concluding with a hometown show at The Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville on November 16. Knox will be featured as special guests on all dates, while Abby Holliday, Nightbreakers, Ryann and Young Rising Sons will appear as openers across various dates. General tickets are on sale now.

After consistent success with their earlier EPs, singles, and feature on Ayokay’s song “Sleepless Nights,” Nightly – named for the texting abbreviation for “night, love you” – released their debut album of the same name in October 2020. Nightly has toured extensively for both headline tours and in support of artists including NF, Andy Grammer, The All-American Rejects, K.Flay, and the Struts. The summer of 2022 saw Nightly performing at Hang Out and Firefly Festivals, as well as supporting The Midnight on their west coast tour. In fall 2022, Nightly opened for Kane Brown and in February 2023, performed at Super Bowl Music Fest with Imagine Dragons.
