Nita Strauss has officially joined Demi Lovato’s touring band. The rock guitarist made her first appearance with Lovato on last night’s (Fri, July 14th) Jimmy Kimmel Live! where they performed Lovato’s new single, “Substance.”

Lovato, who’s moving more towards a pop-punk sound, is set to release Holy Fvck on August 19th and will support the project with 32 dates through North and South Americ this fall on the Holy Fvck Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the trek kicks off on Tuesday, August 13th in Springfield, IL at the Illinois State Fair with stops in Belo Horizonte, Bogotá, San Francisco, Montreal, Nashville and more before wrapping up in Irving, TX at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory on Sunday, November 6th.

Earlier this week, Strauss announced her departure from the Alice Cooper Band after eight years. She also announced the cancelation of her solo band headlining festival shows, but didn’t reveal a reason.

“After this absolutely incredible run in Europe, it is bittersweet for me to let you guys know that I will not be joining the Alice Cooper band for the upcoming fall tour,” she writes. “The past eight years together has been the experience of a lifetime, and I could not be more grateful to Alice and Sheryl Cooper, Shep Gordon, the amazing band, crew and fans for welcoming me to all of your nightmare. I don’t know what the future will hold after this, but I am forever thankful.”

Strauss joined the Alice Cooper band after guitarist Orianthi left in 2014 after Kip Winger recommended her to Cooper. She’s also been a member of the Iron Maidens, an all female Iron Maiden tribute band, and played in a rebooted version of the 80s glam metal group, Femme Fatale.

Cooper announced Strauss’ replacement is Kane Roberts, who strummed for Cooper between 1985-1988.

As of this writing, Strauss has yet to comment on the her new role with Lovato.
