The virtual concert event features several hits
R&B singer, songwriter, and producer PartyNextDoor is taking fans on a virtual jet-setting adventure from Toronto to Miami in his new immersive music experience playable in Fortnite starting tomorrow (Fri, Aug 1st) at 1 pm ET/10 am PT. This limited-time immersive concert event, developed in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Immersive Music Studios, and OVO Sound, is a thrilling tour of PartyNextDoor’s world set on a custom island designed to match his creative vision.
Starting from the top of the CN Tower in his home city of Toronto, Fortnite players will travel on a private jet to the sands of South Beach to attend a PND show like no other, followed by an exclusive after party at David Grutman’s LIV at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, which has been recreated for the experience. Throughout the journey, players can participate in quests and interactive elements such as scavenger hunts, mini-games, and parkour levels.
Along the way, PartyNextDoor’s larger-than-life avatar will perform visually dynamic, stylized versions of several of his hits, including “Break from Toronto,” which will be available as a Jam Track in the Fortnite Shop, in addition to “M a k e I t T o T h e M o r n i n g” and “Somebody Loves Me.”
PartyNextDoor is a fan of Fortnite and has played over the years. “When the opportunity to create our own world came up, it was a natural fit,” he says.
The launch of the PartyNextDoor Fortnite Experience follows the global star’s recent successes and rise to the top of the charts as the first artist to sign to Drake’s OVO Sound label. In addition to his Grammy-nominated six-time platinum hit “Come and See Me” with Drake, he has also penned hits like Rihanna’s “Work” and DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts,” which both peaked at No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
His latest solo studio album, P4, has garnered over one billion streams to date, with standout tracks like “No Chill” and “Make It to the Morning” continuing to gain momentum. Most recently, PartyNextDoor topped the Billboard 200 and Apple Music charts across all genres with the release of his collaborative project with Drake, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which he is currently supporting on tour in Europe.
