The band’s first single in 26 years is available now

Porno For Pyros have lived up to their promise and released their first new song in 26 years. The original lineup of Perry Farrell, Stephen Perkins, Peter DiStefano, and Martyn LeNoble have shared “Agua.”

For “Agua,” Porno for Pyros is joining with the Surfrider Foundation to advocate for protecting the oceans and the coasts. “The people who live here on the West Coast have a beautiful love and passion for the Pacific Ocean,” Farrell states. “The ocean doesn’t look right, doesn’t feel right, doesn’t surf right. You go and swim in it, and you get the creeps. The sunsets are different. We are really, really screwing it up. We have to do something about it. I wanted to bring attention to it through the best megaphone that I know, which is music.”

The band will embark on their farewell tour in 2024 entitled Horns, Thorns en Halos. After a 26-year touring hiatus, the alternative rockers kick off the 16-city tour, produced by Live Nation, on February 13th at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California making stops across North America in Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York City, and others before wrapping up in Montclair, New Jersey at The Wellmont Theater on March 10th.

Last year saw the reunion of the original members Farrell, Perkins, DiStefano, and Martyn LeNoble for a sold out show at the Belasco in Downtown Los Angeles. Since then, they have performed at Rockville, the Chicago Metro followed by a live performance at Lollapalooza.

Porno for Pyros is an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, United States in 1992, following the break-up of Jane’s Addiction. The band comprised former Jane’s Addiction members Perry Farrell on vocals and Stephen Perkins on drums, as well as Peter DiStefano on guitar and Martyn LeNoble on bass, until LeNoble was replaced by Mike Watt during the recording of 1996’s Good God’s Urge. The band released two studio albums, Porno for Pyros in 1993 and Good God’s Urge in 1996, before going on hiatus in 1998. Porno for Pyros has since reunited occasionally.
