May will share details later

Brian May is currently battling COVID-19. The Queen guitarist shared the news on social media this weekend, stating he’d share more details at a later date.

“The shocking day finally came for me. The dreaded double red line. And yes – definitely NO sympathy please – it has been a truly horrible few days, but I’m OK. And I will tell the tale. PLEASE take extra care out there, good folks. This thing is incredibly transmissible. You really do NOT want it messing up YOUR Christmas,” May writes.

The UK, where May lives, has had a record number of new infections in recent weeks. Many businesses, including bars and restaurants, were forced to close again as the omicron variant becomes the primary strain of the coronavirus.

May is currently in the midst of reissuing his solo catalog. He recently released a short film in celebration of the 30th anniversary reissue of his debut solo album, Back to the Light. May has spent the better part of 2021 revisiting the album, meticulously remastering and repackaging it for a new lease of life, which also includes three original videos from the era, and a newly created short film.

May has confirmed he’s working on giving Another World and other releases the same treatment.
