The new single is available now

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne has shared his new song “Broken Sky,” out via his own Liula Records.

To accompany the release, LaMontagne has shared an official video made by his son, Tobias LaMontagne (Zap Film Co.) that delivers striking visuals entirely made through stop motion art. The father-son duo has teamed up a handful of times in recent months to pair Tobias’s visualizers with Ray’s music, most recently for Ray’s song “It Takes Me Back.” A double single seven-inch vinyl featuring both songs will be this fall.

“Broken Sky” showcases what makes LaMontagne’s music so captivating. His signature emotive vocals paired with a strong and steady instrumental build, all underscoring his exceptional talent as a storyteller.

Since his breakthrough in the early 2000s, LaMontagne has received widespread recognition for his albums, earning multiple awards and nominations, including a Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album for God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise. With a loyal fanbase and a timeless sound, the release of “It Takes Me Back” marks another significant milestone in LaMontagne’s musical journey following the success of his chart-topping albums and memorable performances worldwide.

LaMontagne will perform the new song live on his 2023 North America tour – Just Passing Through – with his trio this fall. The special edition run will include a fan-requested set list from his catalog voted through his website and feature special guest Tomberlin across all dates.
