The version was unearthed for the upcoming Wake of the Flood 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition

Grateful Dead has released another previously unreleased piece of their Wake Of The Flood (50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) has been revealed with a stellar rendition of “Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo.” Performed 236 times between 1972 and 1995, the song has long been a staple of Dead shows, but hasn’t been heard like this before — live from Northwestern University’s McGaw Memorial Hall on November 1st, 1973. The set is part of the bonus disc that accompanies the forthcoming, newly remastered and expanded edition of the album, captured from the final night of a brief tour that immediately followed its original release.
