Ceremony will be held on Mar 31st

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is honoring Red Hot Chili Peppers with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony will be Thursday, March 31st at 11:30 am PT at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard, adjacent to Amoeba Records.

George Clinton will unveil the star alongside Woody Harrelson, Bob Forrest and emcee Nicole Mihalka, chair of the board for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

“Our hometown Hollywood boys are finally coming to collect their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” states Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez. “We have been waiting for them to break away from their busy schedules to dedicate their star, and we are thrilled to welcome them to our Walk of Fame family.”

The honor comes one day ahead of the band’s new album and 12th full-length offering, Unlimited Love, available on April 1st via Warner Records. It notably marks their first recording with guitarist John Frusciante since 2006 and first with producer and longtime collaborator Rick Rubin since 2011.

This summer, the band will embark on a 32-city global stadium tour. The trek kicks off on Saturday, June 4th at Estadio La Cartuja in Seville, Spain with stops in London, Paris, Dublin, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and many more before wrapping up in Arlington at Globe Life Field on September 18th. The tour is produced by Live Nation and includes The Strokes, A$AP Rocky, Beck, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, HAIM, St. Vincent, plus Thundercat and King Princess as support on select dates.
