Selena Gomez preps ‘Single Soon’

Song will be available on August 25th

Grammy-nominated, multi-Platinum recording artist Selena Gomez has announced the August 25th release of her highly anticipated new song “Single Soon” via Interscope Records. As Gomez continues to work on her new album, she wanted to give her fans a fun end of the summer song to enjoy as they’ve been patiently waiting for new music from the multi-hyphenate Gomez.

“Y’all have been asking for new music for a while,” Gomez shares. “Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer.”

The track was produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat, “Single Soon.” The single will also be available on a limited edition seven-inch vinyl.

“Single Soon” comes on the heels of Gomez’s No. 1 smash hit “Calm Down” with Rema which reached the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Global chart as well Top 40 radio, urban and hot adult contemporary. “Calm Down” was recently certified triple platinum by RIAA.

Late last year, she released “My Mind & Me” which was inspired by her own personal journals. The song depicts deeply emotional parts of her life and was written by Gomez, Amy Allen, Jonathan Bellion, Michal Pollack, Stefan Johnson, and Jordan K. Johnson.

Gomez was also the subject of an Apple TV+ documentary, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Mein November 2022. After years in the limelight, Gomez achieves unimaginable stardom. But just as she reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light, and is directed by Alek Keshishian (Madonna: Truth or Dare).

She can currently be seen starring in season three of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building with Steve Martin and Martin Short. The show features the trio starting a podcast about their obsession of true crime, only to find themselves in the midst of one in real life. Gomez is a co-executive producer on the series.

Later this year, Gomez joins Food Network with a new celebration-focused series just in time for the holidays. Gomez will also soon begin working on a new series for 2024 that will have her meeting up with some of the best chefs in the country in a quest to cook their most popular dishes when she visits their kitchens. Both projects will be produced by July Moon Productions and The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), a part of Sony Pictures Television for Food Network.
