The Wonder World Tour is set to conclude this fall

Shawn Mendes has postponed three weeks of his 2022 Wonder: The World Tour to focus on his mental health. The pop star shared the news on social media on Friday (July 8th), stating his decision to return to the road after the pandemic was “premature.”

“This breaks my heart to have to say this, but unfortunately, I’m going to have to postpone the next three weeks of shows through Uncasville, CT until further notice,” he shares. “I’ve been touring since I was 15 and to be be honest, it’s always been difficult to be on the road away from friends and family. After a few years off the road, I felt like I was ready to dive back in, but that decision was premature and unfortunately the toll of the road and the pressure has caught up to me and I’ve hit a breaking point. After speaking with. my team and health professionals, I need to take some time to heal and take care of myself and my mental health, first and foremost.”

The singer promises to update fans as they become available.

The dates affected are July 9-29th in St. Paul, Milwaukee, Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Raleigh, Washington DC and Ucansville. The trek is set to conclude at the end of October.

Mendes’ most recent album Wonder debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 upon its release in 2020, making Mendes one of three male artists ever to score four No. 1 albums by 22 years old.
