Channel celebrates 25th anniversary of Hello Nasty

The Beastie Boys Channel returns to SiriusXM for a limited time in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the legendary group’s album Hello Nasty.

The satellite broadcasting company honors the legacy and influence of Michael “Mike D” Diamond, Adam “AdRock” Horovitz, and the late Adam “MCA” Yauch with their classics, deep cuts, rarities, and live recordings on channel 105 through September 14th at 3 am ET and on the SiriusXM App through September 21st at 3 am ET.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers share exclusive commentary, stories, and insight dating from their diamond-certified debut, Licensed to Ill, through multi-platinum albums Paul’s Boutique, Check Your Head, Ill Communication, Hello Nasty, To the 5 Boroughs, and Hot Sauce Committee Part Two.

Additionally, the channel will feature a Guest DJ series, Pass the Mic, which includes a slew of artists, celebrities, and athletes – including Eric Andre, Rosie Perez, Chuck D, David Cross, and Cypress Hill – taking over hosting duties.

News of the Beastie Boys Channel comes as the group is set to unveil Beastie Boys Square this Saturday, September 9th at the southwest corner of Ludlow and Rivington on the Lower East Side in New York City. The site used to be home to Paul’s Boutique, the influence for the title and album art of the group’s groundbreaking 1989 album of the same name.
