New single & video are available now

Two-time Grammy-nominated artist/producer Steve Aoki shares “Us” with two-time CMA Triple Play Award winner Ernest. Featured on Aoki’s eighth studio album HiROQUEST 2: Double Helix, the music video and song are available now.

“I’m stoked to have this song coming out,” shares Ernest. “We wrote it a couple years ago in the middle of Covid, and when we wrote it I knew that I wanted it to live in some capacity. I’m such a fan of Steve’s music, so when he reached out about putting it out together, I was ecstatic! The song brings together country and dance in a fun and playful way.”

“I’ve been a huge fan of Ernest’s songwriting for a while so when I first heard him singing on the demo of this song, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to work together,” Aoki adds. “Regardless of the music genre, his lyrics and vocal delivery work perfectly. Together we were able to create a song that feels authentically dance while maintaining his country roots.”

Last month, Ernest released his burning new single “Kiss Of Death.” Co-written by the awarded lyricist with hit makers Andy Albert and Ryan Vojtesak, and produced by Joey Moi, “Kiss Of Death” bridges traditional country soundscapes and sentiments with modern vernacular, a lane that Ernest has made his signature as he rolls on through a record year.

Earlier this year, Aoki joined an illustrious line-up of electric boat team owners, led by NFL superstar Tom Brady, tennis legend Rafa Nadal, F1 icon Sergio Perez, former Chelsea soccer star Didier Drogba, and the Venice Racing team. His father, Rocky Aoki, the former wrestler who founded the popular Benihana restaurant chain, was also an offshore powerboat racer in the 1970s and 1980s, even surviving a near-fatal crash in 1979 under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
