The dedication will be held in Middletown, New Jersey

Stevie Van Zandt, legendary musician and original member of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and his brother, playwright Billy Van Zandt, are receiving an honor in their hometown of Middletown, New Jersey with a street dedication on Friday, April 26th.

The New Jersey Hall of Fame is dedicating Van Zandt Way, in partnership with Middletown Township, to pay tribute to the Van Zandt brothers, whose stories will inspire generations of New Jerseyans to strive for their highest potential.

The dedication ceremony takes place at 11 am local time with Middletown Mayor Tony Perry, Middletown native Brian Williams, and a special guest speaker.

The accomplishments of Garden State citizens span the pages of nearly every volume of American history. Until now, they have never existed side-by-side, in one place. The people we celebrate have overcome every imaginable obstacle and challenge. The New Jersey Hall of Fame invites you to learn and interact with these inspired lives to chart your path to extraordinary greatness.

Stevie will be the subject of a new two-and-a-half-hour documentary that is making its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June. Stevie Van Zandt: Disciple traces Van Zandt’s career as a musician, activist, and actor from the clubs of Asbury Park, New Jersey, to stadiums around the world, to the Bada Bing Club. The doc was directed by Bill Teck and features interviews with Van Zandt, Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Eddie Vedder, Bono, Darlene Love and others.
