K-pop star wraps solo tour in August

K-pop superstar Suga of BTS expands his first-ever solo world tour with three additional nights in Seoul this summer. Near the end of his sold out two night stand of his Suga | Agust D Tour ‘D-Day’ show in his hometown of Seoul last night (Sun, June 25th), Suga surprised the audience with the addition of three more shows on August 4, 5 and 6th. Dubbed Suga | Agust D Tour ‘D-Day’ The Final,’ the pop star will take over the KSPO Dome in the city.

The Seoul shows saw approximately 15,000 people over two nights on June 24th and 25th. The sold out world tour garnered nearly 291,000 people over a total of 25 shows in 10 cities since its kick off in April. The online live stream was viewed in 151 countries/regions total throughout the two shows.

Through his first solo tour, Suga solidified his identity as a genuine musician. The show unfolded the paths Suga has taken since his debut. The setlist comprised songs from his solo tracks from BTS’ discography as well as his latest solo album D-Day and past solo mixtapes Agust D and D-2.

On the first day of the Seoul show on June 24th, Psy appeared on stage as a surprise guest, performing “That That” with Suga.

Various VCR contents and the unique stage setup with moving panels that disappeared one by one throughout the show portrayed his own narrative as an artist by revealing his most candid self. The concert was imbued with “Agust D” energy and gave the audience a never-before-seen live performance experience.
