Top Dawg Entertainment/RCA Records’ Grammy award-winning, trendsetting icon Sza, debuts the video for “Snooze” from her 10-week Billboard 200 No. 1 sophomore album SOS. Directed by Bradley J. Calder and Solána, the video explores the ebbs and flows of romantic relationships in a looping multiverse with cameos by global pop star Justin Bieber, actors Woody McClain (Power Book II: Ghost, The Bobby Brown Story) and Young Mazino (Beef), plus hitmaking producer/songwriter Benny Blanco (Sza, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran).
In addition to the video, the rapper releases the “Snooze” four-track bundle, inclusive of a “Sped Up” version of the original song. RIAA-certified two-time Platinum with over 700 million streams worldwide, the lyrics to “Snooze” were written solely by Sza, and the track produced and written by the legendary Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, The Rascals (Khris Riddick-Tynes, Leon Thomas) and BLK.
“Snooze” marks Sza’s fourth No. 1 hit from the RIAA-certified three-time Platinum SOS at both rhythm and urban mainstream radio (preceded by “Kill Bill,” “Shirt,” and “I Hate U.”). The song continues to sit in the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs for five weeks and R&B/Hip Hop Airplay charts for nine weeks. To date, SOS has garnered over eight billion streams worldwide.
Recently nominated for six 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, including the coveted Video of the Year for “Kill Bill,” Sza gears up for the second leg of her lauded SOS North American tour. Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off September 20th in Miami at Kaseya Center, with stops in Brooklyn, Houston, Los Angeles and more before it wraps up at Phoenix’s Footprint Center on October 29th.
