The album breaks records after 72 hours

Taylor Swift’s 11th full-length studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, shattered countless records upon release.

With the album, Swift earned the biggest streaming debut in Amazon Music history and the fastest album to one billion streams.

“Fortnight” featuring Post Malone scored the biggest streaming day for any song in Spotify history.

Swift also becomes the first artist to cross 100 million equivalent album units in US history via Luminate, and the first to surpass over five million in equivalent US albums in 2024, and the No. 1 artist of the year via Luminate.

Swift also holds the Top 7 single debuts and top 3 album debuts in Spotify history and the Top 4 biggest vinyl debuts in Nielsen history.

The project, initially announced as a 16-track collection, was expanded to 31 songs two hours after its release. At 2 am, the global pop star dropped an additional 15 songs from the project.
