The band are working on a more intimate show

The Black Keys has canceled its 2024 North American International Players Tour. All dates at Ticketmaster show “Cancelled” next to their listing except for a NASCAR Chicago Street Race performance in Chicago’s Grant Park in July and a Portland, Oregon stop in October. The band’s official website has also scrapped all of the dates.

The duo of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney revealed that “Dan & Patrick are alive and well” on Sunday (May 26th) after news began circulating about the canceled trek. Auerbach and Carney have decided to make the shows more intimate than the originally scheduled arena run.

“Following the recent run of shows in the UK & Europe, including stops at iconic venues like Brixton Academy and the Zenith in Paris, we have decided to make some changes to the North American leg of the International Players Tour that will enable us to offer a similarly exciting, intimate experience for both fans and the band, and will be announcing a revised set of dates shortly,” they share on social media.

“Everyone who had purchased tickets and/or VIP to the initial tour dates will be fully refunded – and when the new plans are announced, will be the first to be able to buy tickets.

“Thank you for your understanding and apologies for the surprise change… We’re pretty sure everyone is going to be excited when you see what we have in mind though, and look forward to seeing everyone soon.

The band released Ohio Players on April 5th, featuring collaborations with friends and colleagues, including Beck, Noel Gallagher, Dan the Automator, Greg Kurstin, Juicy J, Lil Noid, and others. The lead single, “Beautiful People (Stay High),” recently reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart and AAA Airplay charts.
