New digital radio station Show Me Live goes live in and around Southeast Missouri tonight
Southeastern Missouri has a new voice in country radio. Show Me Live, a digital radio station will officially launch tonight (Mon, July 1st) at 5 pm CT. Show Me Live’s team will consist of familiar award-winning voices and fresh new ones for a sound that is nostalgic, yet catapults Missouri radio into the 21st century.
Show Me Live is locally owned and operated by an experienced team of professionals with extensive backgrounds in broadcasting. Beloved local voices Scott Cheatham and Scott Kubala return to radio with a one-two punch of music and entertainment in the morning. TMU’s Buddy Iahn and Matt Bailey make their radio debut in the afternoons, hosting a show blending the best of country music, music news, and conversation, powered by The Music Universe. All of Show Me Live’s fresh and exciting programming will feature special surprises.
“Having friends in the region and visited multiple times–even performing a few times in the area where we’ll air–this is really special to me,” Bailey shares. “And to get to be LIVE with Buddy in a continuation of our music journalism partnership makes it all the more meaningful. I cannot wait to serve these vibrant Missouri communities in the way only radio can.”
“My first job was in radio and I’m glad to return to the market with a larger presence,” Iahn states. “Matt and I have discussed many times about taking The Music Universe Podcast to broadcast and now we get to do that where I grew up! This is very special and looking forward to sharing the time with you and sharing breaking news and severe weather information as it becomes available.”
Show Me Live is designed to fill a void in local news, sports and weather across the region with local voices who are active in the communities we serve.
Regional on-air mainstay Matt McClain says, “Show Me Live is the culmination of decades of experience merged together to provide a service to Southeast Missouri. We are incredibly proud of all the hard work it has taken behind the scenes to make this day finally happen over the last several months, and we will soon have even more offerings for the area beyond our first station.”
