Song is from self-titled EP

In celebration of her acclaimed new EP Tori, two-time Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum artist Tori Kelly serves up the show-stopping and slick official music video for her new single and EP standout, “Cut,” via Epic Records.

The visual matches the uncontainable and undeniable energy of the track. As hummable acoustic guitar gives way to a fast-paced beat, the clip follows her from a parking lot to inside of a Chinese restaurant to the aisles of a convenience store and finally to the club where she turns up surrounded by friends. The showstopping choreography and nocturnal moods perfectly complement the song’s high-energy dance floor-ready crescendo.

Ahead of the music video’s release, Kelly jumped on her newly launched Twitch channel to celebrate the release and chat with fans.

Released at the end of July, Tori showcases Tori Kelly at her most authentic and charismatic. The project follows the recent critically acclaimed lead single “Missin U,” and heralds the beginning of a new chapter for the superstar. It marks the first original body of work from the pop star since 2020.

The pop star was hospitalized and treated for blood clots at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills ahead of the project’s July 28th release. On July 23rd, the 30-year-old Kelly was admitted into ICU where doctors discovered the blood clots affecting her legs, lungs and heart. Reports say she was in and out of consciousness while in doctors’ care.

Despite the health scare, she didn’t want to delay the project’s release.

“Of course I’m heartbroken about all of the things I had planned for this week of releasing my EP, but I know my health must come first,” she shared from the hospital. “Until I see you again, I still want you to enjoy a project that represents the happy place I’ve been in the last few years. I won’t let this hurdle prevent the music from being yours on Friday!”

A week later, she was discharged to recover at home.
