Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett directed the clip

Following last week’s release of his new album, A Love Letter To You 5, multi-platinum hip-hop heavyweight, Trippie Redd teams up with Roddy Ricch on the official video for “Closed Doors.” Directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett, the visual finds the two rappers miniaturized to mere inches as they navigate relationships with normal-sized love interests. From brushing their teeth, to swimming in the bathtub, to riding on front of a car as bobble heads, the two vibe-out while rapping about the main theme of the album, love.

One of the 19 captivating tracks featured on the new album, “Closed Doors” arrives after lead-in singles “Took My Breath Away,” “Last Days” and “Left 4 Dead” introduced listeners to the smooth hip hop flows backed by iconic samples that consume the entire body of work. Named one of Spotify’s ‘Top 50 Most Streamed Rappers,’ Trippie Redd also tapped other hip hop powerhouses like Bryson Tiller, Kid Laroi and the legendary Lil Wayne to lend their verses on the rapper’s most classic and versatile work yet. The series that started it all back in 2017, A Love Letter To You has become a core centerpiece of Trippie’s catalog, highlighting themes of love and relationships, with four previous iterations released in the last six years.

Last week to celebrate the release, the rapper teamed up with curated marketplace NTWRK to launch Trippie Redd’s A Love Letter To You 5 Toy Shop Speakeasy, a merch collection that is available now, exclusively through the NTWRK app and online at TheNTWRK.com. Launched in 2018, NTWRK brings together the world’s most influential artists, brands, and personalities to create and celebrate culture through products like sneakers, streetwear, and collectibles, all while fostering communities of buyers and sellers through livestream shopping.

Known for his electric live performances, Trippie Redd also recently announced his 2023 Take Me Away Tour across North America this fall in support of the upcoming album. The 24-date tour kicks off on Thursday, August 31st at Somerset Amphitheater (just outside of Minneapolis, MN), in Somerset, WI, with stops in Toronto, ON, Brooklyn, NY, Los Angeles, CA and more before wrapping up on Monday, October 9 in Seattle, WA at WAMU Theater. He will be joined by special guests Lucki, D.Savage, Ekkstacy, Jean Dawson and K Sauve.

Earlier this year, Trippie released his surprise mixtape Mansion Musik, featuring the likes of Travis Scott, Future, Chief Keef and Juice Wrld. The fan-focused drop zoomed up the charts instantly, coming in at No. 1 on Billboard’s Rap Albums Chart and No. 2 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. It also debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart marking Trippie’s seventh consecutive Top 5 debut on the list. Additionally, the project saw seven songs debut on the US Spotify Chart bringing Trippie’s total career entries to 143 songs – the sixth most of any artist.
