“Life’s So Hard (OG)” & “All Eye Was Looking 4” are available

Goldin announces that iconic pieces of music history have come up for sale in the October Legends Elite Auction, including handwritten Tupac Shakur lyrics from “Life’s So Hard (OG)” and the 1995 “All Eye Was Looking 4.”

These rare, handwritten lyrics come up for sale just days after an alleged accomplice in Shakur’s murder was arrested and charged. The late Shakur was one of the most charismatic and multi-talented artists during the 1990s, known for redefining and shaping hip-hop for generations.

“Life’s So Hard (OG),” written in 1994, was released posthumously in the film Gang Related, where Tupac starred alongside Jim Belushi. The explosive and explicit handwritten lyrics give a glimpse into the process of one of rap’s most heralded MCs.

“All Eye Was Looking 4” was written while Tupac was serving time in the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York. The full-page sheet is dated August 26, 1995, and contains four verses of handwritten lyrics, signed at the conclusion “4 Simi from the heart of 2Pac.”

“For those of us who grew up in the 90s, the loss of Tupac was an incredible tragedy,” states Goldin’s Dave Amerman. “Tupac really reshaped the way we understand and enjoy hip-hop, and much of that was through his influential lyrics and social activism. It’s an honor to be able to sell these rare pieces that helped redefine music.”

The October Legends Elite Auction is currently open and the items will be available for bidding through October 28th.
