Twice plots fourth studio album

The project will be available this summer in several variations

K-pop superstars Twice is back with their fourth studio album, This is For, set for release on July 11th via JYP Entertainment/Imperial/Republic Records. Making global history as the girl group to do it all and coming up on ten years together, This is For is a celebration album for Twice and its fandom Once.

Details of the album are scarce as of press time, but per usual, the group will release several variations with various collectibles. CD copies will contain a photobook, PVC cover, one of nine folded posters, and envelope, one of nine mini paper standees, five of 45 photocards, lyric poster, photocard set, and poster. The “Confetti Version” features a min-CD, CD holder, 164-page book, outbox, one photocard, keyring, folded poster, three stickers, and 28-page lyric book.

The “This” version is blue-themed, “For” version green themed, and “Is” version yellow themed. The Honeydew glitter and dragonfruit glitter vinyl variants are also available via the group’s website along with signed CDs.

The group has also contributed a song to Netflix animated series, KPop Demon Hunters. The show from Sony Pictures Animation follows K-pop superstars Huntr/X (Rumi, Mira and Zoey) – when they aren’t selling out stadiums, they must use their secret identities as badass demon hunters to protect their fans from an ever-present supernatural threat. Together, they must face their biggest enemy yet – an irresistible rival boy band of demons in disguise. KPop Demon Hunters releases globally on Netflix on June 20th.

Twice’s Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Chaeyoung are featured on a limited-edition violet seven-inch LP for the title track with Huntrix set for release on June 27th via Republic Records.

The release follows the Strategy 2.0, a remix album offering diverse reinterpretations of their hit song “Strategy.” The album includes five tracks — “Strategy (version 1.0),” the unique “Slom Remix,” the sleek club vibes of “House,” the intense tropical rhythms of “Moombahton,” and an instrumental version of “Strategy.” The set extended the record for most Billboard 200 Top 10 albums by a female K-Pop act as the critically acclaimed 14th mini album debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Chart.

The group completed an extraordinary 2024. In February, the group dropped their 13th mini-album, With YOU-th, which made an impressive debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. This marked a significant milestone for Twice as their first No. 1 album since their debut in 2015, further cementing their record for the most top-10 albums on the Billboard 200 by a female K-pop act—now with five. With YOU-th also made history by securing the highest pure album sales among all K-pop girl groups. The critically acclaimed mini-album topped Billboard’s Top Album Sales and World Albums charts, marking the group’s fourth and sixth No. 1s on these charts, respectively.

The following month, Twice brought their 5th World Tour, Ready to Be, to Las Vegas for a sold-out, one-night-only encore performance, Ready to Be Once More, at Allegiant Stadium. Twice recently made waves with a record-breaking livestream performance on Amazon Music Live following the NFL’s Thursday Night Football. The event, broadcast across Twitch and Prime Video, drew the most unique viewers for any Amazon Music production to date. Twice capped off the momentous occasion with an exclusive fan pop-up experience hosted by Complex to celebrate Strategy. The two-day event set a record for the longest line at any Complex Pop-Up in Los Angeles, with fans waiting over 24 hours before the store even opened. In the same weekend, Twice held the most attended meet & greet for an artist on Roblox ever, with more than 33,000 concurrent attendees and over 300,000 total visits.
