Jihyo, of the critically acclaimed K-pop powerhouse Twice, has released an English version of her hit single “Killin’ Me Good” via JYP Entertainment/Imperial/Republic Records, on all digital and streaming platforms. The single is packaged with the previously released “Talkin’ About It” featuring 24kGoldn off Jihyo’s EP Zone.

Zone which is her first solo venture since debuting with Twice in October 2015. The EP debuted at No. 14 on Billboard 200, as well as entered Jihyo on Billboard’s Artist 100 chart at the No. 10 spot. These rankings make Jihyo only the second female K-pop solo artist to enter the top 100 and top 50 of each chart, respectively. The first female K-pop solo artist to achieve this feat was Jihyo’s fellow Twice member, Nayeon, with her 2022 release Im Nayeon.

This solo release comes on the heels of what has already been a momentous year for Jihyo with Twice. The K-pop superstars kicked off 2023 with a performance of their Billboard Hot 100 single “Moonlight Sunrise” at the Billboard Women in Music Awards, where they were honored with the Breakthrough Award, then headed to New York to celebrate the release of their 12th mini album, Ready To Be, with a ceremonial lighting of the Empire State Building in partnership with Musicians On Call and performance of title track “Set Me Free” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The mini album was hailed by Rolling Stone as “as brash and compelling as anything in the pop music landscape today,” and entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 2. Ready To Be holds the biggest pure sales week for an album by a female K-pop act in the US, and the debut extended Twice’s record for the most top 10 debuts on the chart among all K-pop female acts, now totaling four. The mini album also secured the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart – the group’s third No. 1 placement on the chart.

Most recently, Twice wrapped the North American leg of their 5th World Tour Ready To Be. The group played 13 shows in North America, beginning with a sold out performance at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. This tour made Twice the first female K-pop girl group to play both SoFi Stadium and MetLife Stadium. The group also performed on Today Citi Concert Series in the iconic Today Plaza in New York City. Twice is now taking the tour internationally with shows in major stadiums and arenas across Asia, Europe, Oceania, and South America. Twice will be the first female group to headline a stadium in Australia, and the only K-pop girl group to sell out a stadium in São Paolo, Brazil.
