Accentuate The Positive drops on November 3rd

Van Morrison is launching Accentuate The Positive with two album release shows on November 27th and 28th at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London. The project drops on November 3rd and marks the legendary musician’s 45th studio album.

Tickets go on sale to the general sale on Friday, October 20th at 9 am local time.

The album sees Morrison celebrate one of his childhood passions — rock ‘n’ roll. The first single is a new take on Johnny Kidd & The Pirate’s classic “Shakin’ All Over.”

Growing up in Belfast shortly after World War II, he was immensely inspired by the heady sounds of 20th century blues and rock ‘n’ roll. Listening to artists such as Fats Domino, Chuck Berry and The Everly Brothers, it wasn’t long until Morrison was intuitively reinterpreting these sounds with his own band in local hometown venues.

Contributors to the album include electric guitar from the late Jeff Beck and vocals from Chris Farlowe on, “Lonesome Train,” plus guitar from Taj Mahal on, “Lucille” and, “Shake, Rattle and Roll.”

Morrison will play his native Ireland surrounding the album’s release. He’s set to headline three nights at Limelight in Belfast on November 3rd, 4th and 5th.
