Parker died on Mar 30thz

The Wanted is honoring its own Tom Parker with a song that was played at his memorial earlier this month. On March 30th, Parker passed away at the age of 33 after being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor.

Gold Forever (For Tom)” was originally born due to a request of Parker’s family to play “Gold Forever” at his memorial. The band decided to create a more fitting version after posting it to their social media channels the same night. After warm and positive reactions, fans can download the track in memoriam of the British singer.

The Wanted, Island Records, writers and producers will be donating all net proceeds to The Brain Tumour Charity, a UK-based charity dedicated to funding research, raising awareness and providing support and information to people with brain tumors.

Last year, The Wanted reunited after a seven-year hiatus with a greatest hits package that followed in fall 2021. Parker set out of the reunion due to his condition, but held a pop concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London which raised crucial funding for more medical research into finding new treatments for the disease.
