The Weeknd announces rescheduled Los Angeles concert, adds second date

Two night run of shows take place over Thanksgiving weekend

Due to overwhelming demand, Diamond certified and award-winning artist The Weeknd has announced a second LA date to take place on Sunday, November 27th, closing out the 2022 portion of his global After Hours Til Dawn tour. The newly added date will be the last chance for fans to see this tour and its next-level production in North America. The stadium tour has been an incredible success, selling out every show across 20 dates, breaking attendance records and grossing over $125 million dollars to date.

The Weeknd has also announced the rescheduled date for his Saturday, September 3rd Los Angeles show, which was postponed after three songs when The Idol creator lost his voice.

“I want to personally apologize to the audience,” he told the crowd on stage. “I don’t know what happened when I screamed, but I just lost my voice. This is killing me. I don’t want to stop the show but I can’t give you the concert I want to give you right now.”

The new show will now take place Thanksgiving weekend on Saturday, November 26th at SoFi Stadium. Current ticketholders of the September 3rd show will have their tickets transferred automatically to the November 26th date. If unable to attend, fans can request a refund until Thursday, October 27th.

Tickets go on sale for the November 27th date starting Monday, October 3rd at 10 am PST via Ticketmaster.

The tour celebrates The Weeknd’s 2020 album After Hours (it’s hit single “Blinding Lights” was named the new No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 song of all time, surpassing Chubby Checker’s 1960 hit “The Twist”), as well as his most recent critically-acclaimed album Dawn FM, which was released this past January. The Live Nation produced tour recently wrapped up back to back sold out shows in The Weeknd’s hometown, Toronto, ON this past weekend. The tour has featured support from R&B/soul singer Snoh Aalegra, Canadian electronic artist Kaytranada and top DJ/producer Mike Dean on select dates.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the world’s largest humanitarian organization fighting global hunger, has partnered with its Goodwill Ambassador Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye to launch the XO Humanitarian Fund to which he is contributing $1 from each ticket sold in North America from the After Hours Til Dawn Tour. The Weeknd will also make a donation of $500,000 and $1 million will be contributed by World Food Program USA to the fund. Fueled by his passion to help those in need, the multi-platinum and diamond certified global superstar established this fund to support the UN World Food Programme’s critical food assistance to communities on the brink of starvation, in countries like Ethiopia, Madagascar and Yemen. The Fund is administered by World Food Program USA.

The After Hours Til Dawn tour is powered by Binance, the global blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, bringing Web 3.0 technology to concert-goers worldwide. Ticket holders receive souvenir NFTs as well as gain access to an exclusive NFT collection for The Weeknd’s tour, in collaboration with HXOUSE, a think-center and community incubator for creative entrepreneurs. Five percent of the sales from the upcoming tour NFT collection will be donated to the XO Humanitarian Fund.
