Festival returns on Oct 23rd

Strong winds in Las Vegas has forced the cancelation of the When We Were Young Festival on Saturday, October 22nd. Organizers shared the news on social media stating the decision comes after advisement of the National Weather Service.

“When We Were Young organizers have spent the last several days proactively preparing the festival grounds for a windy Saturday. The National Weather Service has now upgraded their Saturday forecast to a High Wind Warning, including dangerous 30-40 mph sustained winds with potential 60 mph gusts. Under advisement of the National Weather Service and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, we have no other choice than to cancel today’s When We Were Young Festival. The safety of our fans, artists and staff will always be our top priority,” organizers say.

“This was not a decision that came lightly. We know many of you traveled to the area to have a spectacular day with yoru favorite bands and have been looking forward to this day for months. We were equally as excited and are devastated to have to share the news.”

Fans who purchased tickets directly from Front Gate Tickets will receive a refund within 30 days to the original form of payment.

Organizers also share that the festival is expected to go on accordingly on Sunday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 29th.

My Chemical Romance, Paramore, AFI, The Used, Bring Me The Horizon, Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional are set to perform at the event. Due to popular demand, the 2022 edition was expanded to three days.

When We Were Young 2023 is set to return to the Las Vegas Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 21, 2023 with Blink-182, featuring reunited original members Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, and Green Day headlining. The lineup also features fan favorites 30 Seconds To Mars, The Offspring, Good Charlotte, 5 Seconds of Summer and All Time Low, Yellowcard, Rise Against, Sum 41, Pierce the Veil, Gym Class Heroes, Michelle Branch, Thrice, Rise Against, Simple Plan, New Found Glory and many more.
