Group teams with The Knocks for “I Like to Hide in the Bathroom at Parties”

Winnetka Bowling League teams up with NYC-based multi-platinum selling duo The Knocks on new track “I Like to Hide in the Bathroom at Parties” out now via RCA Records. Written by front man Matthew Koma, The Knocks and Madison Love (Halsey, MGK, Lady Gaga), the catchy, bass-driven track explores a playful and witty take on being antisocial.

“Ben from the Knocks and I were working on a record at the time for another artist and decided it was time for the dads to reunite and put out a song,” Koma shares. “We wrote it in Ben’s mom’s basement where she let him set up these bunk beds after his girlfriend broke up with him. We both experience wild social anxiety but pursued lives that require being somewhat social…so it made sense to dive in on this one together. Madison Love babysat us and gave us words to say to sound cool.”

“Matt had this concept that we really loved and he wanted to make it feel like the anti-party party song, so we added some lo-fi funk elements and it came together nicely. There is nothing more relatable than social anxiety these days,” The Knocks add.

This weekend, the band hits the road supporting MisterWives and Lawrence on their North American tour with stops in major cities including New York, Chicago and Houston.

In February, the band released their fourth EP Pulp, which was written and produced by Koma and features their song “Fiimy (Fuck It, I Miss You)” with Demi Lovato.
