Event will takes place in Brooklyn this summer

The first annual Caribbean Music Awards has been confirmed for August 31st at the renowned Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York. A Night of Celebration for Caribbean Music will be hosted by 3x Grammy Award winner Wyclef Jean and will stream live on YouTube starting at 8 pm ET. Machel Montano will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Performers include Ding Dong, Jada Kingdom, Nailah Blackman, Alison Hinds, Lila Ike, Baby Cham, Spragga Benz, and Teddyson John with additional talent forthcoming.

This week, Jean shared his excitement around being this year’s host at the Today Show via NBC. “The countdown starts now!
