Album drops Dec 2nd

RM of 21st century pop icons BTS will release his first official solo album Indigo on December 2nd via BigHit Music.

The K-pop superstar delivered the news by revealing the name of his new album with a mood cut on his Instagram. BigHit also made the announcement via global fandom life platform Weverse.

The album plays like a diary as RM recounts the stories and experiences he’s lived. Indigo will feature a variety of guest artists.

Indigo is his third solo album after 2015’s self-titled project and 2018’s Mono (Mixtape) which debuted at No. 26 on the Billboard 200 chart.

RM is the third member of the global band to release solo music in the past few months. J-Hope released Jack in the Box earlier this summer featuring “More” and “Arson” while Jin released “The Astronaut” last month with Coldplay.

The band is currently on hiatus as each member fulfills their mandatory military service commitment to South Korea. Each will serve accordingly and release solo material before the global superstars are expected to reconvene in 2025.

Last month’s free BTS Yet to Come in Busan concert that was seen by 50 million people globally. As ambassadors for World Expo 2030 Busan, Korea, the K-pop superstars hosted the concert to introduce the city and the world to Korean culture in an effort to boost interest in Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030.
