Being Funny In A Foreign Language set for Oct 14th release

The 1975 has released “Part of the Band,” the first single from their forthcoming fifth studio album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language. The album will be released on October 14th via Dirty Hit. It was recorded at Real World Studios in Wiltshire, United Kingdom and Electric Lady Studios in New York.

The album will be available across a variety of formats, including CD, cassette and vinyl. Variants include three Dirty Hit exclusives: a limited edition Blue Galaxy Vinyl, limited edition Transparent Royal Blue Cassette, and 40 page mixed-media zine with CD album that’s housed in folder.

The group will make their live comeback as the headliners of Japan’s biggest rock festival Summer Sonic 2022, taking place in Tokyo and Osaka on August 20th and 21st.

Formed in Manchester in 2002, The 1975 have established themselves as one of the defining bands of their generation with their distinctive aesthetic, ardent fanbase and unique sonic approach.

The band’s previous album, 2020’s Notes On A Conditional Form, became their fourth consecutive No. 1 album in the UK, landing at No. 1 in Australia, too.
