Country music singer-songwriter Billie Jo Jones, a musician on the CBS music competition series The Road premiering Sunday, October 19th, is turning heads with her highly anticipated second album, Turquoise & Silver. Available now on all major streaming platforms, the 12-song project is a fiery, unapologetic collection that celebrates individuality, authenticity, and artistic growth. Blending heartfelt storytelling with bold, dynamic melodies, Turquoise & Silver reflects Jones’s journey as an artist unafraid to explore her voice and push creative boundaries. Each track captures the spirit of resilience, self-expression, and empowerment, offering listeners a vivid glimpse into the experiences and emotions that have shaped her life and music. With its mix of soaring anthems and intimate ballads, the album establishes Jones as a powerful and distinctive presence in contemporary country music.
We have the exclusive premiere of “Reasons to Call,” the second track on the project. On the song, the Texas native pours her heart out to an ex with soaring vocals and 90s instrumentation driven by a six-eight beat.
Leading up to the release of her new album, Jones has made a significant impact with three standout singles: “Marilyn,” “Flame,” and the title track “Turquoise & Silver.” Together, these songs highlight the range and depth of Jones’s artistry, blending heartfelt storytelling, bold melodies, and emotional resonance. The singles collectively set the stage for an album that is both dynamic and deeply authentic, offering listeners a powerful glimpse into the sound, heart, and vision of Billie Jo Jones.
Earlier this week, we spoke with Jones while in Nashville at the red carpet premiere of The Road. Jones is one of 12 hopefuls competing to be an opening act for Grammy Award winner Keith Urban at American venues. Throughout the season, Keith is joined by executive producers Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan, “Tour Manager” Gretchen Wilson, Jordan Davis, Dustin Lynch, Brothers Osbourne, and Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, who, along with the live venue audience, will determine who advances to the next city. Only one of these talented triple threats – singers, songwriters, and instrumentalists – will walk away with the grand prize, which is a coveted performance slot on the Mane Stage at Stagecoach in 2026. The winner will also be awarded a Red Bull prize package, $250,000, and a recording contract.
“It was awesome,” she tells us of the show’s process. “You have your ups and downs, but for the most part, we all learned so much being on the show. We learned from the best of the best, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”
The extended series premiere airs on Sunday, October 19th at 9 pm ET/PT on CBS and will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
