The raw new track is available now

Rising country star and self-proclaimed “sad girl” songstress Avery Anna isn’t sad this time around – she’s mad. The simmering rage in her new song “Make It Look Easy” underscores a relationship marred by quiet dysfunction. The track immediately resonated with fans, who viewed one teaser on Instagram Reels 12.4 million times – plus another 3.5 million on TikTok – in less than a week. Avery penned the rocker alongside Andy Sheridan, Ben Williams and producer David Fanning.

“Touring this past year really made me realize the REAL things that people go through that cause them to relate to songs like ‘Narcissist,’” she shares. “All of my sadness turned into rage, and I started writing songs like ‘Make It Look Easy.’ I hope it gives my fans another space to feel and be seen.”

“Make It Look Easy” follows Avery’s October release, “I Will (When You Do)” with Dylan Marlowe. The track has already earned more than 25 million global streams.

Warner Music Nashville recording artist Avery Anna is a vibrant talent with an expressive pen that her fans might say speaks to sad girls – and sad boys. Avery’s career started in an acoustic-friendly, claw-foot bathtub, where she documented herself singing. She has earned recognition for nuanced lyricism well beyond her 20 years, coupled with a dynamic, piano-forward sound. Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify, and YouTube have all named the talented Arizona native an Artist to Watch.

Avery’s debut EPm Mood Swings, a seven-song introduction that has contributed to her nearly 350 million global streams, features the viral hit “Narcissist.” She performed the gold-certified smash on the 2023 CMT Music Awards, where she was nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. In addition to topping SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown, “Narcissist” has earned rotation among today’s biggest pop songs on SiriusXM Hits 1.
