The romantic new track is available now
Warner Music Nashville’s Michael Ray is lending his smooth country vocal to a steel guitar-backed love song with the new track “Nothin’ Else.” The track, written by Brandon Kinney, Josh Thompson, finds the narrator wishing that he could shut out the world and strip away his troubles to be with his love. Ray first teased the Michael Knox-produced track on TikTok in January, quickly racking up nearly a half-million views on the post.
“I’m so proud of this song,” Ray shares. “‘Nothin’ Else’ is the first taste of new music, and to see the fans gravitate towards this one and show it so much love so early on makes me excited to share more of what we’ve been working on.”
Ray dropped “We Should Get A Drink Sometime” in December. The hard-hitting ballad captures the desire to reminisce with old friends and old flames. The acclaimed recording artist can be heard on the airwaves alongside duet partner Meghan Patrick. His single “Spirits and Demons” continues to climb on country radio.
Ray is back in the studio with Knox, building on his recent Dive Bars & Broken Hearts EP. He is also on the road for select dates this spring.
