New content is featured on Wilson’s new website

Brian Wilson’s official website has been redesigned to offer a complete history of Wilson’s Beach Boys and solo career. An immersive timeline experience allows visitors to learn more about Wilson’s career with rare photos, unreleased music and Wilson talking about many of his classic songs, through each decade of his life. A Tour section includes photos of Wilson and his band, and offers rare backstage rarely or unseen videos and photos.

The Timeline includes Wilson’s piano demos to five songs from 1977’s The Beach Boys Love You album. The 1980s is represented by many demos and unreleased tracks Wilson recorded after years of inactivity. The 1990s features key demos, including several from the mid-1990s “Wilson-Paley” sessions. Wilson’s 2007 demos for his That Lucky Old Sun album are also available for the first time.

Wilson has also released an original video featuring a new remix for the 1995 demo recording of “Desert Drive,” taking viewers on a desert drive trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.

“We decided to put up some cool demos, outtakes and live tracks that you haven’t heard before. I hope you dig listening to them as much as we did making them,” Wilson shares.

The Timeline will be updated periodically with new audio and video content. No word if any of this content will be released elsewhere.

Wilson also shares an updated list of 2021 and 2022 tour dates. Brian Wilson: Greatest Hits Live! with Al Jardine & Blondie Chaplin launches August 29th in Long Beach, CA before hitting the East Coast for much of its run before wrapping October 23rd in Waukegan, IL.

Wilson has also moved original 2021 European dates to 2022 due to the pandemic. His solo tour starts June 4th and wraps July 8th with stops in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and the UK.

Last month, Wilson’s long-awaited Long Promised Road documentary made its premiere at New York City’s Tribeca Film Festival. Brent Wilson (no relation) directed the film with more details expected soon.

Next week sees the release of The Beach Boys Feel Flows – The Sunflower and Surf’s Up Sessions 1969-1971 celebrating 50 years of The Beach Boys’ timeless and often underappreciated albums. Capitol/UMe will release the 135 track set on 5 CD, 4 LP on both black vinyl and limited edition Translucent Blue and Translucent Gold color vinyl, 2 LP black vinyl and 2 CD editions.
