Two day livestream airs this weekend

Global superstars BTS’ virtual concert MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E is coming this weekend. The show will be livestreamed across two days, at 6 am EDT on October 10 and 3 am EDT on October 11. All ticket holders will also have access to the replay of the live events (in the form of “Delayed Single-view streaming”) at 10 pm EDT on October 10 and 11 respectively.

MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E marks the band’s first concert in four months since BANG BANG CON The Live in June that was viewed by 756,600 fans across 107 regions and set a new Guinness World Record for “Most Viewers for a Music Concert Livestream.”

This time, the show boasts a production cost eight times bigger than BANG BANG CON The Live. BTS will perform on four massive stages, giving the viewers a sense of scale, as if they’re in four different venues. The concert will also incorporate technological features such as AR, XR and 4K/HD to bring viewers more vivid and theatrical concert experience. In addition, it will provide “multi-view live streaming” that displays six multi-view screens from which fans can select their favorite one.

After a year of preparation, MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E finally arrives with exclusive and spectacular stages. The show will bring never-before-seen performances as well as altered set lists for each day for fans who must have felt disappointed by the cancellation of offline concerts due to COVID-19. The exciting news of the virtual concert arrives on the heels of BTS’ announcement of their new album BE (Deluxe Edition) slated for release on November 20.

The K-Pop superstars continue to break records as they top the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the fifth time with their record shattering single “Dynamite,” since regaining it for a third non-consecutive week in late September. BTS secures their place as the new face of pop with their return to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart as they break their tie with Megan Thee Stallion for the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales in 2020, when factoring the success of “On” from earlier this year.

BTS’s fourth film, Break The Silence: The Movie, was set to be released in limited theaters beginning September 10th in Korea, but has been postponed due to the latest COVID-19 outbreak in Seoul.

The group also just dropped a free single in partnership with Hyundai. The track, “IONIQ: I’m On It,” incorporates the now quintessential shape-shifting pop sound of BTS with slick and catchy melodies, while the reflective lyrics aide in exploring the individual moments fans can experience with Hyundai’s new EV brand, IONIQ.

“Dynamite” comes six months after the group’s most recent album, Map of the Soul : 7, which was released in February 2020. The project earned the superstars its fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.
