Additional photos to be unveiled

BTS’ Jin has unveiled the first concept photos for his new solo single, “The Astronaut.” The photos titled “Outlander” give the captivating charm of the K-pop superstar dressed in a suit with a universe-like set featuring planet-shaped props.

Additional concept photos are set for release on October 25th and 26th with the a video teaser to follow on October 27th. “The Astronaut,” co-written by Jin and Coldplay, is set to be released at midnight ET on October 28th.

Two CD singles of the track will also be offered on October 28th featuring an 84 page booklet, outer cover, lyric card, poster, postcard and more. A Target exclusive edition will contain a bonus postcard.

Jin will appear as a special guest at Coldplay’s world tour in Buenos Aires to perform “The Astronaut” together on October 28th. The song will be performed together for the first time at the show which will be broadcast live to cinemas worldwide with “The Astronaut” performance available on BTS’ official YouTube channel after the concert ends.

Jin is the second member of the K-pop group to release solo material. J-Hope released Jack in the Box earlier this summer featuring “More” and “Arson” acting as the 10 track album’s two main tracks.

The news follows the global superstars fulfilling their mandatory military service commitment to South Korea. Members of the group will serve accordingly and release solo material before the global superstars are expected to reconvene in 2025.

Last week, the group’s free BTS Yet to Come in Busan concert that was seen by 50 million people globally. As ambassadors for World Expo 2030 Busan, Korea, the K-pop superstars hosted the concert to introduce the city and the world to Korean culture in an effort to boost interest in Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030.
