Song is from forthcoming fourth studio album

Every sign is pointing to the fact that Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Chris Janson has released one of the most powerful singles of his career. After impacting radio on September 27th, “Bye Mom” has entered the Top 40 of the Billboard Country Airplay Chart at No. 38. The poignant track has also charted within the Top 50 – and rising – at Country Aircheck. Meanwhile, last week’s No. 1 most-added song finds itself once again in the Top 5 with upwards of 50 total adds on the board.

“Bye Mom” welcomes new fans every day as Janson continues to build the story behind the song. What began as a tribute to his friend and co-writer’s mom, who passed late last year, has turned into a message about loving someone more than yourself. Whether from a mother, father, brother, sister, friend or lover, “Bye Mom” gently opines that everyone deserves to feel that kind of immeasurable love.

The true-to-life official music video features co-writer Brandon Kinney and his family, with Kinney’s children playing younger versions of himself and his wife starring as the titular mom. Fans can also go behind the scenes of the video shoot for an intimate look at the special heart-healing process.

A celebrated recording artist, Janson joined Warner Music Nashville in 2015 as his now 3x Platinum, chart-topping smash “Buy Me A Boat” became a viral and now perennial sensation. Over the past six years he has earned three additional Gold-certified No.1 hits while also garnering upwards of seven billion airplay impressions, clocking more than one billion on-demand career streams and earning his membership into the esteemed Grand Ole Opry. He will perform at the Opry’s massive 5,000th show celebration on October 30th alongside Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Chris Young and others.

Janson is currently on the road for his Back At It tour dates with dates running through October.
