New edition contains 22 songs

Taylor Swift will release Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on July 7th via Republic Records. The newly recorded edition will include 22 songs with six previously unreleased Songs From the Vault and a collectible lyric booklet with never-before-seen photos on CD, 3 LP, double cassette and digital.

“It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iykyk 😆),” Swift shares on Instagram after sharing the news from a tour stop in Nashville. “I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing … and living to speak about it. With six extra songs I’ve sprung loose from the vault, I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with you on July 7th.”

The collectible CD will feature unique front and back cover art with disc art. The LP set will feature a collectible album jacket with unique front and back cover art across three unique violet marbled color vinyl discs. The cassette will feature two purple cassette shells.

The track listing for Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is forthcoming. In March, she released four new songs as part of her re-recording campaign, although it’s unclear if those songs will appear on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) as of press time.

Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) follows Red (Taylor’s Version)which surpassed Spotify’s biggest opening day streams of all-time for a female with over 90 million, a record previously held by Swift herself — and Fearless (Taylor’s Version) — which broke records upon its release in summer 2021.

Swift, who is currently in the midst of releasing re-recorded versions of her first six studio albums following a public feud with her former label, Big Machine Label Group, most recently released Midnights in fall 2022 which scored the country-turned-pop-star the biggest album of the decade and the biggest debut of her career.

Last week, Swift made history again with the vinyl release of Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, logging the “The highest chart debut for a Record Store Day Vinyl ever.” At the time of the announcement, she occupied three spots in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 (No. 3 Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, No. 4 Midnights, No. 10 Lover), joining Whitney Houston as the only female soloist to achieve this milestone.

Swift is currently on The Eras Tour, performing three nights in Nashville. She initially announced 27 dates last fall and then added eight and an additional 17 new dates within two weeks. Swift will play multiple nights in all cities, tallying to 52 shows in US stadiums in 2023.

Demand for Swift concert tickets was huge before Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan presale which forced millions empty handed after Ticketmaster’s system crashed. Fans are suing the company over the botched presale.
