Shows resume July 1st
Chris Stapleton has tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the postponement of three shows this weekend. The country star was set to perform in Salt Lake City on June 23rd and two Denver shows the following two nights. All three have been rescheduled for July 1-3.
“I am very sorry to let you all know that I have tested positive for COVID and will be unable to perform this weekend’s shows,” Stapleton shares on his socials. “I want to sincerely thank everyone who has waited so long for these shows. We are incredibly grateful for your patience, love, and support, and can’t wait to see you next week.”
Tickets for the original dates will be honored for their rescheduled dates. Fans who cannot attend can request a refund at point of purchase.
This is the second time since the pandemic that Stapleton’s been forced to postpone dates due to a positive COVID diagnosis. He launched his All-American Road Show in the spring and postponed three dates a week later due to a positive case within his touring camp.
Dates are lined up through the end of October.
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will highlight the musical contributions of Chris Stapleton in its newest exhibition, Chris Stapleton: Since 1978, presented by Ram Trucks. The exhibit, which opens July 1st and runs through May 14, 2023, will chronicle the course of Stapleton’s multi-faceted musical career, from his Kentucky roots and success as a Nashville songwriter to his rise to stardom as one of country music’s most powerful and unique voices.
This summer, the country star will also be honored during the 15th Annual Academy of Country Music Honors alongside Miranda Lambert, Shania Twain and Morgan Wallen. Honorees will be celebrated during an unforgettable evening of live music and tributes on August 24th at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
