Johnson will throw out the first pitch before the Texas Rangers MLB game this week
Cody Johnson has added ten concerts to his Leather Tour this fall including a headlining date at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on November 9th. Known for his electrifying performances, CoJo’s show at the Texas Rangers baseball field is his second stadium concert slated during the headlining trek. Jon Pardi will join as a special guest on November 9th.
To celebrate the announcement, Johnson will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Texas Rangers take on the Seattle Mariners game tomorrow night (Tues, Apr 23rd) at Globe Life Field.
Presales for the November 9th show start on Tuesday, April 23rd at 10 am local time with the general on sale on Friday, April 26th at 10 am local time.
“My guys and I have spent 17 years on the road,” Johnson shares. “And it’s not lost on any of us how fortunate we are to get to do this for a living and now at this level. I truly believe God put me on this earth to help make country music sound like country music again. Can’t wait to see y’all on November 9th at Globe Life Field.”
Johnson performed at Globe Life Field in 2023 as part of The American Rodeo and also played the former home of the Texas Rangers, now known as Choctaw Stadium, many times.
During his career, Johnson has performed before massive stadium crowds as a special guest on tours with Zac Brown Band, Luke Combs, and Miranda Lambert, at Nissan Stadium as part of CMA Fest, and many rodeos and more. Among the rodeos were multiple appearances at RodeoHouston where Johnson became the third performer ever to sell out opening night in 2023, following records set in previous years by Garth Brooks in 2018 and George Strait in 2017, with a crowd of 70,554 cheering fans.
Cody continues the Leather Tour this weekend and heads into the May 16th Academy of Country Music Awards as one of the night’s most-nominated artists with five for Entertainer of The Year, Male Vocalist of The Year, Album of The Year (Leather), Song of The Year (“The Painter”) and Visual Media (“Human”).
