The four songs will air during final two season episodes

Country superstars Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert have teamed for four songs that will air during the final two episodes of Fire Country‘s inaugural season on CBS. The songs, which were inspired by the themes of the show, can be heard in the episodes on Friday, May 12th and Friday, May 19th on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+.

“Saved” and “Still Burning” will be featured on the May 12th episode while “Something in the Water” and “Barbed Wire Heart” will air during the season finale on May 19th. “Saved” was written by Jon Randall and Luke Dick; “Still Burning” written by Lambert, Randall and Dick; and “Something in the Water” written by Lambert, Bentley, Randall and Dick with all three performed by Bentley and Lambert. “Barbed Wire Heart” was composed by Bentley and Randall and is performed by Bentley.

“Dierks and I got together with our buddies Luke Dick and Jon Randall, and we started writing for Fire Country,” Lambert says. “It’s a different process to write to another storyline that’s already been written and sort of go along with the script. It’s been a cool project!”

“From the moment I saw the very first scenes of the pilot for Fire Country, I knew I wanted to try to write songs for it,” Bentley adds. “Writing for TV stretches different muscles than writing for my own albums. And getting to collaborate with my friends Miranda, Luke Dick and Jon Randall made the whole process explorative and, of course, a lot of fun.”

Bentley and Lambert are the second and third country artists to be involved in the series following Kane Brown making his acting debut on the program last month. Brown portrayed Robin, an enigmatic, modern-day train hopper who helps injured patients on the scene of a crash. Bentley and Lambert are not expected to physically appear on the show.
